This 11-day trip is the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation with a safari in the world-famous Maasai Mara followed by four nights of beach bliss in Mauritius.

Your adventure starts in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi, staying at the incredible Giraffe Manor, home to eight Rothschild giraffes that make daily visits to the house. Whilst in Nairobi, you’ll have the chance to visit the David Sheldrick elephant orphanage. The orphan programme offers hope for the future of Kenya’s threatened elephant and rhino populations by hand raising orphaned animals and reintegrating them back into the wild herds of Tsavo.

A short flight will bring you to the Maasai Mara, where you’ll spend four days exploring this incredible ecosystem. Daily game drives showcase the beauty of the park and introduce you to its inhabitants, both big and small. It’s then back to Giraffe Manor for a night where you’ll enjoy afternoon tea with its long-necked residents before flying to Mauritius for four nights of total relaxation, enjoying the island’s wonderful beaches and lush interior from the comfort of your luxury hotel.

While the centre is hectic, suburbs such as Karen, named after Karen Blixen, is a wonderful place and there are attractions such as The Daphine Sheldrick Rhino and Elephant Orphanage and the Giraffe Centre, and the Nairobi National Park just outside the city.

David Sheldrick's Elephant Orphanage

Born from one family’s passion for Kenya and its wilderness, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is today the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world and one of the pioneering conservation organisations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa. Located in a secluded area of the Nairobi National Park, the orphanage is open for visitors between 11am and 12pm when the the orphans arrive for their midday mud bath and feeding.
